Training Events

The RINSE Partnership organised many training events across the Two Seas Area. These targetted specific audiences in order to increase awareness of INS and biosecurity.  

 12 June 2014 - A training session for Norfolk WildlifeTrust volunteers hosted by RINSE Lead Partner Norfolk County Council. 

10-11 June 2014 - A training session on the control of invasive deer with Belgian stakeholders hosted by RINSE Lead Partner Norfolk County Council in association with The Deer Initiative 

25 March 2014 -  "Invasive Species in the Broads". An evening event for local land managers and farmers hosted by RINSE Lead Partner Norfolk County Council. Invited speakers included Simon Baker (Norfolk Mink Control Project) and David Hooton (Deer Initiative)

19 March 2014 - Third RINSE Best Practice Workshop 'Encouraging Community Engagement, Volunteering and Citizen Science in the control of Invasive non-native species' hosted by RINSE Partner HIWWT, New Forest Non-native Plants Project

28 October 2013 – Training session for Local Authority Countryside Management Staff hosted by RINSE Partner HIWWT, New Forest Non-native Plants Project

17-18 October 2013– Second RINSE Best Practice Workshop ‘Managing Invasive Aquatic Plants’ hosted by RINSE Lead Partner Norfolk County Council

11 September 2013 – Event for horticulturalists interested in aquatic and terrestrial plants, hosted by RINSE Partner HIWWT, New Forest Non-native Plants Project

3-4 July 2013 – First RINSE Best Practice Workshop ‘Managing Invasive Mammals and Birds’ hosted by RINSE Partners INBO and RATO

20 March 2013 – A one-day conference focusing on attempts to control invasive non-native plant, Crassula helmsii. Hosted by RINSE Partner HIWWT, New Forest Non-native Plants Project

12 February 2013 – The New Forest Non-native Plants Project training workshop, targetting anglers on spread of aquatic species hosted by RINSE Partner HIWWT, New Forest Non-native Plants Project

7 November 2012 – Training session for the New Forest District Council on invasive non-native species and their impacts. Hosted by RINSE Partner HIWWT, New Forest Non-native Plants Project

23 July 2012 – Training session for Enterprise Mouchel staff (consultants to the Highway’s Agency) on working with invasive non-native plants. Hosted by RINSE Partner HIWWT, New Forest Non-native Plants Project

10 July 2012 – Training session for Hampshire County Council Highway Department on working with invasive non-native plants such as Japanese knotweed. Hosted by RINSE Partner HIWWT, New Forest Non-native Plants Project

April 2012 – Training session for Conseil Géneral du Pas-de-Calais which is responsible for the maintenance for roads and hiking trails. Hosted by RINSE Partner CPIE d'Authie.
